Founder, Ricardo Sandoval, has spent over 20 years in the construction industry — working his way from the ground up as a laborer, lineman, tower technician, and telecommunications professional. Licensed, certified, and trained across multiple fields, Now as a Certified LvL-1 Infrared Thermographer and a licensed FAA Part 107 UAS Pilot, Ricardo brings firsthand knowledge of what makes a structure safe, where damage often hides, and how to spot risks that less experienced drone pilot eyes might miss.

In 2019, while working as a cell tower technician, a tragedy struck: a co-worker fell from a 90’ ft. cell tower while on the job out of state, and unfortunately lost his life. That moment became the spark for U.A.I.R. - Ricardo knew there had to be a safer way to inspect hard-to-reach places like cell towers, transmission towers, rooftops, and high infrastructure without putting workers’ lives on the line.

Since then, he has dedicated himself to learning everything about drones — taking advanced training, certifications, and courses to combine his field expertise with cutting-edge aerial technology. By 2021, U.A.I.R. was born, built on the mission of protecting lives while delivering the most accurate, professional imaging and safest inspections possible.
